My teacher speaks in clusters of daring “The way in is the way out.” It’s her graceful word rising from years looking at the blank slate over the Pacific, her lungs breathing deeply of this rolling mist. Her wisdom “the way in is the way out,” comes to me from her bloodline far to the east, from a practice that bent and molded her matter-mind, from evidence etched into the soles of her feet.
About Greg Ormson
Yoga is a breathed form of spirituality – of the deepest stripe – which happens within the dimensions of a yoga mat. Most yoga mats are similar, just 220 square inches, but what happens in that small space for each yogi though is a unique transformation of body, mind, and spirit.
Dr. Ormson has broad experience translating jargon into a common language that inspires and informs. Some of his vignettes from YOGA: 30 Inspirationals for 30 Days, Your Path to Health and Strength have reached over 1.37 million viewers through social media and have been translated and shared in Portuguese, Tamil, and French. Some of his vignettes have been published in Yoga International, elephant journal, Asana Journal, Do You Yoga. com, The Yoga Blog, Yoga International, The Health Orange, Hello Yoga, and Yogi Times. His stories of a healing encounter with yoga are the voice of a regular guy that’s been opened and changed.
Yoga won’t turn you into a teenager, he writes, but it might help you feel like one. His #YogaInspirationals are meant to guide newcomers into an ancient and healing practice, a modern-day version of the Fountain of Youth.
Greg's worked as a speech writer, musician, college professor, journalist, public speaker and campus clergy. His agent, Elizabeth Kracht of Kimberley Cameron and Associates is now presenting his book to publishers.
